As the COVID-19 vaccine continues to make its way around Texas, advocates are concerned for communities of color.
Data from the Texas Department of State Health Services has shown that the virus is deadlier for people of color, with more than half of the deaths in Texas occurring among the Hispanic or Black communities. Now, advocates are concerned that the state s designated vaccination sites are being placed in more affluent areas that will give the white population greater access to the medicine.

The SoHo Karen debacle continues. CBS This Morning broadcast the second part of their interview with 22-year-old woman Miya Ponsetto, who was arrested in Ventura County on Thursday hours after the interview was conducted. The so-called SoHo Karen s initial alleged assault on Keyon Harrold Jr., a 14-year-old Black teen, has given way to a PR campaign that her lawyer told Entertainment Tonight was difficult.
Ponsetto was charged Saturday on multiple counts, including attempted robbery and attempted assault.
This portion of the interview was often more fraught than the initial footage released Friday with interviewer Gayle King sighing in seeming exasperation at Ponsetto s conduct.
